As American flags become worn or damaged, it becomes important for their disposal to be proper and dignified.

The City of Appleton, in cooperation with the American Legion, have placed a container at the Public Works - Full Service Yard Waste Site at 2625 E. Glendale Ave. for residents to drop off worn or damaged American flags free of charge.
