Appleton Police Investigating Possible Burglary
On Friday, August 26, 2016 at approximately 12:07 P.M., Appleton Police officers were called to Pondview Court for the report of a possible home burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned a female home care provider was at the residence when a white male, described as approximately thirty years old and six feet tall, walked into the home. The man did not speak or approach the woman. The woman fled and called 911 from a neighboring house.
The suspect was not located and nothing was missing from or disturbed in the residence. Neither the care provider nor the resident was injured. At the time of the initial call, nearby Fox Valley Lutheran High School was asked to temporarily lockdown the campus until officers cleared the home and determined what was taking place. Appleton Police were assisted by the Grand Chute Police Department and the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
Pondview Court is a one block condominium development just south of the intersection of Edgewood Drive (County Highway JJ) and N. Meade Street on the northeast side of Appleton.
