Overnight maintenance work scheduled for College Avenue

Post Date:09/29/2015
Starting Sunday night, Appleton Department of Public Works crews will begin evening and overnight maintenance work on College Avenue. Work will take place from 8 p.m. - 6 a.m. each night through Thursday morning.

The work includes patching and filling cracks in the concrete pavement. The schedule is as follows:

Sunday, September 27 - Crack filling of E. College Ave. round-a-bout at S. Walter Ave. and E. John St. and the intersection of Badger Ave. and W. College Ave.

Monday, September 28 - Crack filling of the E. College Ave. and Kensington Dr. intersection and the intersection of Mason St. and W. College Ave.

Tuesday, September 29 - Crack filling and patching on College Ave. from Richmond St. to Drew St.

Wednesday, September 30 - Crack filling and patching on College Ave. from Richmond St. to Drew St. and crack filling on E. College Ave. from Drew St. east to the College Ave. Bridge.

Please note the schedule is subject to some change based on work flows and equipment operations. However, crews will not deviate from the downtown College Ave. schedule.

Residents in the work areas may notice some minimal overnight noise associated with the work. Crews will strive to do the bulk of the noisiest work between 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. each night. Doing the work overnight will reduce the impact to traffic, downtown businesses and access to parking.

If you have any questions about the work, please contact the Appleton Public Works Department at 832-5580.
