Yellow Ramp elevators out of service following fire
If you use the Yellow Ramp behind the City Center, both elevators in the ramp will be out of commission for several months.
This weekend a fire destroyed one of the elevators and damaged the adjacent elevator. Our hope is the less damaged elevator can be repaired in about 6-8 weeks. The other elevator will need to be replaced and it will be out of service for a longer time period.
Our Appleton Police Department and Appleton Fire Department are investigating the fires. Another fire was found in an elevator in the Green Ramp during the same time period. However, the damage was not significant and that elevator is still working.
We realize this is going to be an issue for some people. We obviously had no control over what happened, but we are working with elevator companies to fix the elevators as quickly as possible. We will share any updates on the time frame for repairing the elevators when we have it.
In the meantime, if anyone has any information about the fires, please call our police department at 832-5500.
