Naked Burglar in Custody
A Saturday evening report of an unwanted subject resulted in officers taking a naked burglar into custody.
On July 15, 2017, at approximately 10:20 PM, officers were dispatched to a burglary-in-progress at a private residence in the 200 block of South Memorial Drive. The resident reported finding a damaged entry door upon returning to the residence. While checking the residence with another adult, a naked man was found sleeping in the victim’s upstairs bedroom. Both adults exited the house and waited for officers.
Officers conducted a search of the residence. They found the naked man hiding in a shower enclosure. Further investigation showed the man had consumed whiskey and blueberry muffins before disrobing to climb into the bed. Neither the victim nor the other adult at the residence knew the suspect; who had broken an entry door on the main level to gain access. A bag of marijuana was also found near the suspect’s clothing in the upstairs bedroom. While admitting breaking into the residence to officers and confessing to recent meth use, the suspect denied possession of the marijuana.
Officers confined Oshkosh resident, Bradley T. Braxton (M/B, 01/26/77) at the Outagamie County Jail. Charges of Burglary, Damage to Property, Disorderly Conduct and Possession of Marijuana will be requested against Braxton. Several bail jumping charges were also requested as Braxton was on bond at the time of the incident.
