5. I want to recycle my television. (Public Works - Garbage)
Effective September 1, 2010 the following electronics must be recycled and will not be collected with regular garbage per Wisconsin State Law:
Computers / Monitors / Televisions / Video Display Devices / Fax Machines / DVD or VCR Players / Printers / Cell Phones
Many electronic items contain harmful materials including lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, other heavy metals, and chemical flame retardants that can leach into the environment where they can affect human and environmental health. Many of these electronic items also contain valuable reusable materials.
