VALLEY TRANSIT: News Releases

Valley Transit Detour During Midway Road Construction

June 15, 2007

Effective immediately, Valley Transit Route 1 will not operate on Midway Road due to major road construction.  Service will return to Midway Road when construction is completed and is scheduled to resume on Midway Road September 4, 2007.

During the detour, Route 1 will travel on its regular route to ShopKo and Piggly Wiggly, which it will serve from Appleton Road (Highway 47), rather than traveling into the parking lot.  Instead of traveling on Midway Road, the bus will travel on Highway 441 from Appleton Road to the Oneida Street exit, where it will continue its normal route north on Oneida Street to the Downtown Appleton Transit Center.

Tripper bus service to the Food Pantry will be provided Monday through Friday leaving the Appleton Transit Center at 9:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. and traveling on the regular route to the Food Pantry.  The tripper will use Highway 441 to return to Oneida Street and will then follow the regular route to the Transit Center.

For more information, please call Valley Transit at 920-832-5800.
