Valley Transit Pass Lets Youth Ride Free All Summer
May
15, 2007
Appleton
(May 15, 2007) -- Valley Transit’s Freedom Pass lets kids ages 5
to 18 take unlimited bus rides from June 1 to Aug. 31 for just $35.
Freedom
Passes are valid on all Valley Transit buses and the Call-A-Ride
service in the Town of Buchanan, Darboy and Town of Harrison areas.
With 16 regular fixed routes, Valley Transit serves most area parks,
pools, libraries and shopping centers, which means kids can easily
get where they need to go to have fun this summer, said Valley
Transit General Manager Deborah Wetter. “With gas prices so
high, it just makes sense for kids to ride the bus all summer long
for just $35,” Wetter said. “Riding the bus is economical and
easy to do so, we’re hoping lots of kids will take advantage of
the Valley Transit Freedom Pass to get where they need to go this
summer.”
Bus
riders can save $5 if they purchase the Valley Transit Freedom Pass
by May 31.
Freedom
Passes are available at all Valley Transit outlets, at Valley
Transit’s administrative office and by mail at Valley Transit, 801
S. Whitman Ave., Appleton, WI 54914
