Valley Transit to hold Public Hearing on Proposed Changes
to Routes 2-Prospect and 32-West Neenah

March 28, 2006

 

Valley Transit is proposing to restructure Routes 2-Prospect and 32-West Neenah and would like to welcome public comment Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at

3:00 PM in Committee Rooms A&B, 6th floor Appleton City Hall, 100 N. Appleton St., Appleton, WI 54911.

 

Valley Transit Proposes the following changes:

Route 2 – Prospect 

 

  • Service added to Badger Ave., Locust St. & Story St. to better serve the Boys & Girls Club of the Fox Cities

  • Service shifted from Seminole St. to Perkins St.

  • Bus travels Pine St. to Prospect Ave. instead of Pine St. to Outagamie St. to Prospect Ave.

  • Service added to Superior St. & Washington St. in the downtown area and duplicate service is eliminated from Lawrence St. east of Superior and Morrison St. by the YMCA

Route 32 – West Neenah

 

  • Service added to Lakeside Packaging Plus and the Breezewood industrial area

  • Service added to the Aurora Clinic and growing business area at Winneconne Ave. and Tullar Rd.

  • Service eliminated north of Winneconne Ave. (Harrison, Adams, Western, Geiger, and part of Green Bay Road)

Individuals with comments are welcome to attend the public hearing or can submit comments in writing to Valley Transit Service Changes, 801 Whitman Ave., Appleton, WI 54914. Comments can also be made by phone at 920-832-5800 or by e-mail to valley.transit@appleton.org. The deadline to submit written or phone comments is 3:00 PM, Wed., April 26, 2006.

 

Valley Transit serves the communities of the Fox Cities, providing safe, reliable, and convenient public transportation. Valley Transit II, under the Americans with Disabilities Act, provides specialized transportation for individuals who are unable to use the fixed route service.
