Oak Street bridge closure in Neenah prompts long-term detour on Valley Transit Route 31.

Valley Transit bus Route 31 – East Neenah will be detoured beginning Monday, August 29, 2005 due to the Oak Street bridge reconstruction in Neenah. For the duration, of the detour Route 31 will not provide service to Doty Island, including Theda Clark Medical Center. It will instead travel along Wisconsin between Oak Street and the Neenah Transit center, where it will likely have a longer wait downtown.

 

During the detour, Route 30- Neenah/Menasha will deviate from it’s published route to provide service to 1st St & Forest Ave. After departing from downtown Neenah, Route 30 -Neenah/Menasha will travel from Commercial street to Forest Ave to First St. where it will resume published routing at 1st & Commercial. Passengers who normally use Route 31 for service to Doty Island, including Theda Clark Medical Center are encouraged to use Route 30 – Neenah/Menasha and exit on Forest.
