Valley Transit Bus Fares Increase Monday, June 13

June 9, 2005

 

Effective Monday, June 13, 2005 fares on Valley Transit buses will increase. Fares on the Paratransit service Valley Transit II will not increase at this time. The new fares will be as follows.

 

FIXED ROUTE BUS FARES

      Basic Cash (Ages 5 to 64)…………………………..…$1.50

      Senior (65 and older)/Disabled*…………………….... $0.75

      DayPasses (Unlimited rides on day of purchase)….. $4.00

      Regular 10-Ride Ticket………………………………..$13.00

      Senior/Disabled* 10-Ride Ticket……………………….$7.50

  *Passengers must show a Valley Transit reduced fare card, ADA Certification Card, or Medicare Card upon request to qualify for the reduced fare.

 

Valley Transit 10-Ride punch tickets purchased for the $10.00 or $6.00 prices will continue to be honored after June 13, 2005.

Valley Transit serves the many communities of the Fox Cities, providing safe, reliable, and convenient public transportation. Specialized transportation is also provided under the Americans with Disabilities Act by Valley Transit II, for people who are unable to use the fixed route buses.
