VALLEY TRANSIT: News Releases

Technical problems cause lost trip data – Valley Transit encourages Passengers to call to verify scheduled trips.

May 19, 2005

Due to technical problems with the software used to schedule paratransit trips, Valley Transit is alerting passengers that trips scheduled with Kobussen for Valley Transit II, the Neenah/Menasha Dial-A-Ride and the Outagamie County Rural Demand Response service between April 28 and May 17 may have been lost. Passengers who scheduled trips during this time are encouraged to call Kobussen at 832-5789 as soon as possible to ensure that their trips are still booked.

Valley Transit is still unsure of the cause of the computer failure and data loss, but is investigating the problem to help prevent future problems. Both Valley Transit and Kobussen Buses Ltd. express their deepest regret to passengers who may have been inconvenienced due to the failure.
