What is a Transfer?

If you will need to use more than one bus on your trip, ask your driver for a transfer. Transfers are free, and must be requested when the fare is paid. Be sure to let the driver know which route you'll be transferring to, so they can ensure that you will make your connection.

What if I need more
than two(2) buses?

If you will need to use three buses to reach your destination, drivers can issue a transfer for a transfer. Transfers can only be issued for another transfer on certain routes. Once a transfer for a transfer has been issued, no further transfers will be issued. Transfer for a transfer will only be issued at a transfer point. Please see your driver for specific routes.

Valid for 45 minutes only!

Your transfer will allow you to board another bus, with no additional fee, as long as you board within 45 minutes after you arrive at the transfer point. On the next bus, give your transfer to the driver instead of paying a second fare.

Where can I transfer?

Transfers will only be accepted at a transfer point. Transfer points include the Transit Center in Appleton, the Transfer Center in Neenah, the Fox River Mall, and the North Transfer Point.

No Return trips!

Transfers are valid only on the next connecting bus. Unlike DayPasses, they are not good for a return trip and do not include a layover privilege. While Valley Transit strives to ensure connections for transfers, we cannot guarantee them.

Call-A-Ride Transfers

Transfers also allow passengers to board the Call-A-Ride taxi for a reduced fare.
