The
bulk of Valley Transit's routes disseminate
outward from the Downtown Appleton Transit Center,
which was opened in 1990. The Transit Center offers heated/air
conditioned interior passenger waiting areas, public bathrooms, a
pay telephone and vending area. The Appleton Greyhound office
occupies the north side of the building and passengers can board the
Greyhound service at the northwest side of the property. Exterior
benches are also available for passengers who wish to wait for the
bus outside.
The
entire facility and grounds are non-smoking up to and including
sidewalks and curbing.
What
Time Does the Bus leave the Transit Center?
Even
numbered BLUE colored routes leave
the Transfer point* at :45
minutes
after the hour. Additional service is available on some routes
during peak hours.
Odd
numbered RED colored routes leave
at :
15 minutes
after the hour. Additional service is available during peak hours.
Single
digit routes (eg. 1, 2, 3, etc.) take approximately 25 minutes
to complete their route and return to the transit center.
Double
digit routes (e.g. 11, 12, 20, etc.) take approximately 55
minutes to complete their route and return to the transit center.

*The
transfer point for Routes 31, 32 and 41 is the downtown Neenah
Transit Center. The transfer point for the North Side Tripper is at
the North Transfer Point on 1st St and Union on the north side of
Appleton.
