SINGLE-STREAM RECYCLING
Single-stream means you no longer have to separate your recyclable material. Paper and containers may be combined in the same cart.

Recyclable items include: cereal/cracker boxes, corrugated cardboard, junk mail, home and office paper, newspaper, magazines, catalogs, paper egg cartons, paper towel rolls, plastic bottles and jugs (HDPE # 2) , plastic bottles and jars (PET # 1), aluminum cans , empty aerosol cans, glass bottles and jars all colors, steel/tin cans. Remove bottle caps or lids and give a quick rinse.

DO NOT RECYCLE: Gift wrap, tissue, waxed paper, # 2 tubs, # 3 - # 7 bottles and containers, plastic bags, styrofoam, motor oil containers, aluminum pans/foil, empty steel paint cans, window glass and ceramics or china.

Residents in Outagamie County, including all of Appleton are offered curbside recycling collection.

How to place recycling at the curb:
• Place all recyclable materials in your City supplied recycling container. There is no need to separate paper from glass, aluminum, plastic, and tin.
• Please do not place recyclables in plastic bags and do not place trash in your recycling cart.
• All cardboard should be cut to fit inside the recycling cart.
• Because garbage and recycling are picked by separate trucks, keep your recycling container 5 ft away from obstructions such as, your trash can, mailbox, utility poles, trees, and parked cars. If possible put garbage & recycling on opposite sides of the driveway.
• Be sure to have recyclables at the curb the night before your collection day. Collection begins at 4:30 AM.

For Recycling collection concerns, please contact Inland Service Corporation 759-0501
