Large Item Overflow
Beginning January 1, 2013 large item collection will be held every other week on your regular garbage day opposite your recycling week.- Items that are too large to fit into the City garbage can such as: chair, couch, mattress, carpet, lumber (pound nails in or remove nails, tie and bundle, no longer than 4 feet), furniture, bikes, lawnmowers (gas/oil removed), grills (propane tanks removed), toilets, etc. will be collected at no charge.
- Garbage bags, appliances and tires REQUIRE a prepaid disposal sticker.
- When placing these items out for collection, the items should be placed approximately 4-5 feet away from the garbage can and not lean against it.
- Items NOT collected: garbage bags without sticker, hazardous waste, yard waste, concrete, shingles and electronics.
One truck will come for the City supplied garbage can and another for the LARGE ITEMS. Remember to place garbage cans and overflow materials curbside the night before your collection.
