2013 Fees
The following is a list of yard waste site fees.
American Flag Disposal
As American flags become worn or damaged, it becomes important for their disposal to be proper and dignified.
Appliance Tags
Appliance tags, grass cards, tire tags and overflow tags are available at the following locations.
Appliances
All major appliances require a disposal tag. Collection is weekly on garbage day.
Carpet
Carpet is collected every other week at the curb on your garbage day opposite recycling.
Construction Materials
Construction Materials generated by a contractor should be disposed of by the contractor.
Extra Garbage Bags
Extra garbage bags that would normally fit into the City supplied garbage container need tags.
Garbage Collection
Garbage collection is done weekly from City supplied garbage carts.
Garbage Container Fees
The following is a list of charges for City of Appleton residential garbage containers.
Grass Clippings
Grass clippings are not collected curbside.
Grass Punch Cards
Appliance tags, grass punch cards, tire tags, overflow tags and recycling stickers are available at the following locations.
Holiday Garbage/Recycling Collection
Your Holiday Recycling Collection may not be on the same day as Holiday Garbage Collection. Dates affected are listed below. For dates not listed, follow the regular (non holiday) schedule.
Large Item Overflow
Items that are too large to fit into your garbage can can be placed out for collection every other week.
Lumber
Lumber is collected every other week at the curb on your garbage day opposite recycling.
Medical Sharps
Medical sharps under Wisconsin law, sharps must be treated before disposal.
Overflow Collection
Large item collection will be held every other week on your regular garbage day opposite your recycling week.
Paint
Latex based paint cans maybe put in your garbage container after lids are removed and the paint has dried out.
Prescription Medication
Prescription drugs and other medicines may be brought to the City of Appleton Police Station.

Recycling
Recycling is picked up every other week on your regular garbage day. Recycling is mandatory.
Recycling Cart Fee
In order to fund the cost of the recycling carts, there will be a $3.00 per quarter charge on your quarterly City Service Invoice (Water Bill.)

Residential Recycling Carts
In an effort to meet our key strategy of sustainability as an organization and a community, the City of Appleton Common Council approved providing an automated recycling cart to all residential properties in 2013.
Spring Curbside Pickup
Curbside pickup is offered April 15 thru May 10, 2013 of yard waste, branches and brush free of charge.
