BADMINTON CLUB: The Badminton
Club that was previously sponsored by the Parks and Recreation
Department has evolved into the Fox Cities Badminton Club. The
club is now independently operated, but still offers the same
great game. Come and play
the recreational sport of badminton! Singles and doubles
games are played. Birdies and racquets will be supplied. New players, both young and old,
are welcome. The Club meets at East High School gymnasium, Wednesdays
from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m.
AGES: All ages are welcome.

CHESS CLUB: The Appleton Chess
Club is now independently operated and is affiliated with the United States Chess Federation
(USCF) and offers competition at all levels of play,
beginner through master. Casual games (skittles) may be
played at all meetings. More serious competition (USCF
events), where players receive a national ranking, is
offered once a month. Players of all strengths are
welcome. Group instruction for Junior players is
scheduled. Individual tutoring is available on a limited
basis. Regulation tournament equipment is provided. A
library of chess books is available to season members.
