PARK PAVILIONS
- Renting a pavilion is done
on a first come first serve basis.
- Pavilions are closed from
September 30th to May 1st (except for Jones and Appleton
Memorial Park).
- Call 832-5905 to reserve.
Reservations are accepted 12 months in advance of the
rental date. Telephone reservations may be made and will
be held for five (5) working days during which time
the reservation form must be completed and the appropriate
fee paid in full. A facility information sheet is
available for each site.
Policy
- A fee will be charged for
exclusive use of a park pavilion or special area, with the
rates to be established by the Parks and Recreation
Committee and City Council.
- All groups reserving park
pavilions and special areas will be charged at the normal
rate. Schools using the park pavilions as part of their
normal classroom activities, Monday through Friday only,
will not be charged a rental fee.
- Park pavilions available
for rent during the winter months (December – March)
will have rates equal to half the rate charged for the
remainder of the year.
- Reservations for park
pavilions and special areas can be made up to 12 months in
advance.
- A full refund of a rental
fee for a cancellation of a park pavilion or special area
will be made only if the facility can be rented to another
party for the date canceled.
- All refunds are subject to
a $10.00 processing fee.
- All applications for
facility reservations must be made at least five (5)
business days in advance of the reservation date.
Applications not made before this time period will be
charged an additional $10.00 for the reservation.
- Organizations/groups that
have reserved park pavilions and/or special areas for
special events shall have 30 days after the date of
the special event to reserve the park pavilion or special
area. After 30 days, the Parks and Recreation Department
will make the pavilion available to other interested
parties.
- All park pavilions and
special areas have maximum capacities set by safety code
regulations, planned seating capacities, and parking
provisions. The Parks and Recreation Department reserves
the right to deny any reservation application if the
expected attendance will exceed the safe capacity of the
facility so as to endanger public health and safety.
