OPEN GYM FOR TEENS &
ADULTS
Open Gym for ages 16
and older begins October 2 and runs through March 26 (there
is no Open Gym November 27, December 25 or January 1). Open
Gym is held Fridays from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Players
Choice of the Fox Cities, W3035 Edgewood Trail. Pick-up
games of basketball and volleyball are organized by the
participants. Fees are $3.00 per day.

Public Library and the Building for Kids. Online, walk-in
and mail-in registration is currently being accepted.
To
register online you must be registered as a household using the
Family Information form: Household Information Form.

CANCELLATION PROCEDURES
FOR THE MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION, CALL THE INFORMATION
LINE AT 920-832-3900
The following guidelines are followed for cancellation of
recreation programs due to weather:
1) If the Appleton Area School District has canceled
classes for the day, all Parks and Recreation programs are
canceled for the day, i.e. Junior Clubhouse, Dance, swim
lessons, Thompson Community Center.
2) If the Appleton Area School District has a two hour
delay in the morning, only the morning classes are canceled.
Afternoon and evening classes will take place as scheduled.
3) Winter parks shelters may still be open even if the
School District has canceled.
4) The Appleton Parks and Recreation Department may
cancel classes after school, depending on the weather
conditions.
