The Appleton Parks and Recreation
Department is located inside Appleton Memorial Park, located
near the corner of Ballard Road and Northland
Avenue.

programs, special events, weather related cancellations,
registration, etc.
The mission statement of the Appleton Parks
and Recreation Department is as follows: The Appleton Parks
and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing leisure
services, recreational
facilities and environmental management to enhance the
quality of life for the community.
The Appleton Parks and Recreation
Department manages and operates a variety of recreation
programs for youth, adults and seniors. The Appleton Parks
and Recreation Department is also responsible for the
operation of 29 City parks, two outdoor pools, one indoor
pool, over 6 miles of recreation trails, and several special
recreation areas. Special areas include an 18 hole golf
course, central city plaza, and historic sites. The
Department also manages the urban forestry program that
includes over 27,000 street trees.

and mail-in registration is currently being accepted.
