College Avenue Construction Schedule Update

Schedule: May 2009 to October 2009

Location: College Avenue between Drew Street and Matthias Street (excluding the bridge).

Description: The project involves reconstruction of existing College Avenue including grading, storm sewer, base aggregate, concrete pavement, concrete driveways and sidewalk, landscaping, pavement marking, signing, lighting, and incidentals.

September 20 to September 26: East of the bridge; Some punchlist items were addressed.

West of the bridge; Permanent signing completed. Pavement markings completed. Landscaping work was completed.

September 27 to October 3: Punchlist items will be addressed. Remaining work on the project such as overhead sign supports and plantings will occur early in October with minimal traffic impacts.

Traffic impacts: College Avenue is now re-open to traffic. Due to the bridge construction, College Avenue from Meade Street to Alton Court and the west leg of the roundabout are closed to thru traffic until the completion of the reconstruction of the bridge project.
