A Right-Of-Way Occupancy Permit is required before any private entity can place anything in the public right-of-way.  The Department is authorized to issue short term permits up to 35 days.  Anything longer requires authorization from the Municipal Services Committee and City Common Council.  Permits are typically requested for such things as construction activities, dumpsters, canopies, etc.  Questions regarding these permits should be directed to the Engineering Division (920-832-6474).
