APBA Museum
The
Appleton Police Benevolent Association (APBA) Museum continues to
grow through many donations and the resourcefulness of several of
our retirees and staff interested in preserving the Appleton Police
Department's history.
In
2002, Retired Detective/Sergeant Arnie Nettekoven collected badges,
shoulder patches and other memorabilia from neighboring law
enforcement agencies for a display in our Department's lobby.
"Appleton,
WI Law Enforcement: History 1850-2000," a book he had published
in February 2005, incorporates a large collection of
newspaper articles, photos, and stories,
about the APD and its police force.
The
museum is open to the public each year during Police Week in May.
