Accident Investigation Team

The Accident Investigation Team is made up of officers who possess special knowledge and training in the field of traffic accident investigations.  The Team is activated to:
  • investigate accidents that either have resulted in a fatality or have a high probability of resulting in a fatality
  • investigate any vehicle accident where the nature of the accident requires their technical knowledge and training
  • assist the Investigative Services Unit with the investigation of crime, where a vehicle was used to inflict property damage or personal injury/death
