The Department is an active participant in the MEG Unit, which is responsible for coordinating the drug enforcement efforts of police agencies throughout the Fox Cities.
One Appleton Police Officer is assigned to the MEG Unit to collaborate with other departments' officers in developing intelligence information, investigating illegal activity, and apprehending drug offenders. This Unit's aggressive intervention strategy continues to successfully identify and apprehend high-level drug offenders.
