Appleton Parks and Recreation sponsors many fun-filled special events throughout the year.

Winter/Spring events include: Winter and spring break activities such as free ice skating at the Appleton Family Ice Center, Holiday Open Gym and Open Swim times, and special warming shelter hours at the outdoor ice/hockey rinks and sledding hills. Join us for our Winter Water Carnival in January!

Summer special events include: Summer Field Trips June through August, Hershey Track Meet in June, Children's Parade in July, Ice Cream Socials and the Playground Fair in July, and On the Hill outdoor movies throughout the summer.

Fall special events include the Halloween Splash Bash and a Holiday Shopping Trip to Chicago.


HERSHEY'S YOUTH TRACK & FIELD MEET
SPONSORED BY THE APPLETON PARKS & RECREATION AND APPLETON YMCA
The National Hershey Youth Track & Field Program is for all boys and girls who live in the Appleton area and are ages 9 to 14; 6 to 8 year olds are also invited to participate, however, their events will not be Hershey sanctioned and they will not advance to the District Meet. The meet will be sponsored by Appleton Parks and Recreation and the Appleton YMCA.

The local meet will be held at the North High School track. All first place finishers (except for the 6 - 8 year olds) will advance to the District Meet in the second week of June. District winners advance to the State Meet in July.

Registration forms may be picked up at Appleton Parks and Recreation Customer Service in City Hall, the Appleton YMCA at www.ymcafoxcities.org , Appleton Schools April thru May, or by selecting the following links:

DATE: Saturday, May 19, 2012
TIME: Day of registration will be from 8:00 - 8:30 a.m.; Meet will start at 9:00 a.m.
