Backyard Barbecuing Basics

BACKYARD BARBECUING BASICS
Have you often wished you could do more with your grill than hamburgers and brats? Do you ever wonder how to select the right cut of meat or how to choose the right marinade so it melts in your mouth? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then we have the class for you! We will BBQ ribs, pork chops, chicken, steak, sausage, fish and vegetables. The beginner class will learn charcoal selections for your grill or ways to use your gas grill more effectively. This class is being taught by Chef Matt from “The Marq” (by Festival Foods). NOTE: Bring something to drink and come to class hungry! You will be sampling everything including side dishes.

AGES: 16 and older
DATE: Beginner Class: Wednesday, June 20 CLASS #: 316902-W1
*Intermediate Class: Thursday, June 21 CLASS #: 316902-H1
TIME: 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. LOCATION: Pierce Park (meet at Pavilion)
FEE: $22.00 per person ($17.00 each additional family member)

*You do not have to go through the Beginner’s Class to attend the Intermediate Class. Intermediate participants will focus more on some of those challenging grilling items such as fish and seafood and also learn good pairings for side dishes.
