Police officers, who have at least three years of post probation experience as a police officer with the Appleton Police Department, of which six months of the twelve months prior to application were on uniform patrol, may volunteer to become an FTO.
Field Training Officers are challenged with providing newly hired police officers with all of the knowledge required to perform his/her essential job functions.
