The purpose of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program is to assist grantees in creating and implementing strategies to: 1) reduce fossil fuel emissions in a manner that is environmentally sustainable and maximizes benefits for local and regional communities; 2) reduce the total energy use of the eligible entities; and 3) improve energy efficiency in the building sector, the transportation sector, and other appropriate sectors.
The City of Appleton was awarded EECBG funds in the amount of $689,800. These funds will be utilized to implement four projects, including Energy Management System Controls Installation, HVAC Equipment Upgrades, Lighting Retrofits, and Variable Frequency Drives Installation.
As these projects progress, this site will serve as the energy efficiency and conservation resource for both residents and businesses owners in the City of Appleton.
