Animal License Information

Licensing/Vaccinations

Licenses and Rabies Vaccinations are required for all cats and dogs by the time they reach 5 months of age. Rabies vaccinations are required for ferrets by age 5 months. Licenses must be obtained yearly. Rabies vaccinations are to be kept current and owners must be able to provide proof of valid rabies vaccinations for animals requiring rabies vaccinations. The license period commences on January 1st and ends on the following December 3lst. Dogs and cats must wear license and rabies tags at all times when off the premises of the owner.

** Please do not mail in applications for the next license year before December 1st.

A valid rabies certificate from a licensed veterinarian and proof of neuter or spay (to obtain the half price fee) will be required at the time the license is purchased.

24 hours a days, seven days a week

Animal License Fees Cat/Dog

January 1st—March 31st
$6.00 - (Neutered/Spayed)
$11.00 - (Non-sterilized animal)

April 1st—December 31st
$11.00 - (Neutered/Spayed + $5.00 late penalty)
$16.00 - (Non-sterilized + $5.00 late penalty)

Owners are charged a late penalty if they fail to purchase a license prior to April 1st for animals that are 5 months or older by April 1st, or within 30 days of acquiring a licensable (5 months or older) dog or cat.

Kitten/Puppy

After July 1st
$3.00 - (Neutered/Spayed)
$5.50 - (Non-sterilized animal)

Owners are charged half the amount (after July 1st) only if the puppy or kitten to be licensed comes of licensable age after July 1st of the license year.

Replacement Tags - $5.00
