Youth Sports

The goal of the Youth Sports Program is for the child to learn the fundamentals of the sport and to have FUN! Please help us achieve this goal by reinforcing that your child’s participation is important, having fun is a necessity and that winning or losing a game does not determine success or failure.

Play with your friends, play APRD sports!

The Parks and Recreation Youth Sports Leagues rely on volunteer coaches to work with the teams. Training and assistance is provided. Sign up to coach on your child’s Individual Player Registration form.

T-BALL, BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL LEAGUES
Summer leagues for boys and girls who are age five by June 1 through currently in 8th grade. Teams are scheduled for a seven game season June through July and are played on weekday mornings. Individual player registration forms are available at the link below.

SUMMER KICKBALL
An end of summer league offered for boys and girls in grades 3-6. Games are played on Tuesdays (5:30-8:30 p.m.) at Appleton Memorial Park from August through September.

FLAG FOOTBALL
A fall league offered for boys and girls in grades 3-8. Flag Football league runs from September through October on Monday evenings (Tuesdays for rainouts) between (5:30-8:30 p.m.) at Appleton Memorial Park.

SOCCER
Fall league play on Saturdays for youth in grades K-8. Soccer league runs Saturdays, September 11-October 23, 2010 (all teams will play 6 games) at USA Youth Sports, 3300 E. Evergreen Dr. No games scheduled the weekend of the Octoberfest Tournament.

BASKETBALL
Fall/winter leagues for youth currently in grades 3 through 6. Boy's League runs October 29 to December 17 (no games November 26) with a deadline date of September 7. Girl's League runs January 7 to February 25 with a deadline date of November 8. All teams will play 8 games on Saturdays at various gyms in the Appleton area.
