Catch your Bus!
Wait for your bus at a designated bus stop or at a red stop sign along the route. As you see the bus coming, signal to the driver that you are waiting to catch the bus. (Waving to the driver works). Remember: People stand on corners for many reasons, so you need to get the driver's attention so he or she knows you wish to board.
Route name and Number Signs
The route name and number always appear on the sign above the bus windshield and on the side of the bus. You can check this as the bus pulls up to make sure it's the route you need before you get on board.
Stop Please!
About half a block from your stop, signal to the driver that you will need to exit by pulling the cord near the window. If you are unable to reach the cord, there are also yellow strips located underneath the front seats.
The driver will stop at the next safe bus stop, in a location where it will be safe for you to exit. Remain seated until the bus is at a complete stop, then exit through the front door of the bus.
Caution!
Make sure you wait until the bus is gone before you cross the street, as other drivers might not be able to see you if you walk in front of the bus.
