The City shall pay the full cost, for a regular full-time employee, of the employee's portion of the premium to the Wisconsin Retirement Fund, effective the first day of employment.

  • Employee automatically enrolled

  • City of Appleton pays 100% of the contribution for all full-time employees. The contribution amounts are broken down into four classes of employees (see chart below)

  • Annual statements

  • Newsletter issued twice each year

  • Upon termination, an employee can withdraw the employee contribution percentage only

  • Upon retirement, an employee can request to draw a monthly annuity

  • If an employee works less than 5 years and does not withdraw the employee contribution at termination, a lump sum payment will be made at retirement time
