Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP)
What began in 1996 as a Pilot Program, has evolved into a successful and important component of the City’s overall mission to maintain central city neighborhoods. Presently, the neighborhood of
Memorial/Mason is under revitalization efforts and this will continue through
June of 2009.
In
the summer of 2006, a Neighborhood Search team, with representatives
from Police, Community Development, Health and the Assessors Office
was assembled to research and develop the NRP’s next long-range
plan. In early September of 2006 the Common Council unanimously
approved the Plan, including the 2007-09 and 2009-11 neighborhoods.
The NRP also celebrated its 10th anniversary as a City program in
2006.
