Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP)
What began in 1996 as a Pilot Program, has evolved into a successful and important component of the City’s overall mission to maintain central city neighborhoods. Presently, the neighborhood of
Memorial/Mason is under revitalization efforts and this will continue through
June of 2009.
In
the summer of 2008, the Common Council, at the request of Community
Development staff, amended the NRP's long-range plan to shift the
2009-11 target neighborhood to an area bounded by Brewster Street,
Richmond Street, Oneida Street and Commercial Street. The NRP also celebrated its
12th anniversary as a City program in 2008.
