The mission of the Office of the City Attorney encompasses two
general areas: (1) representing the City in civil and
quasi-criminal proceedings; and (2) serving as legal advisor to the
City, its agencies, officials and, in some instances, its
employees. Most specifically, these missions include:
prosecuting and defending claims and lawsuits for and against the
City, its officials, and its employees according to law; prosecuting
ordinance and traffic violations in Outagamie County Circuit Court;
providing legal services to City-owned utilities; and in-house
counsel for the Police Department.
