Public Hearing Notice regarding Valley Transit's proposed service changes in 2012 (posted October 27, 2011)

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Proposed Service Changes for 2012

The 2012/2013 State budget calls for a 10% cut to transit in 2012. In order to deal with the loss of funding, our proposed 2012 budget includes a service reduction which will result in the following schedule:

Monday through Friday – Service ends one hour earlier. Last routes depart at 8:20 p.m. and 8:50 p.m.

Saturday – Service ends three hours earlier. Last routes depart at 6:20 p.m. and 6:50 p.m.

Budget proposal calls for Routes 31, 32 and 41 to remain on their existing schedule
(5:15 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. respectively)

Valley Transit II hours would also be adjusted to coincide with reduction in fixed-route service hours. Valley Transit II service would end at 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Click here for detailed information including maps of proposed route changes.
