Appleton Parks & Recreation is participating in the "Giving Hope" sponsored by Appleton Downtown, Inc. from May 6-12.(posted May 2, 2012)
Downtown Appleton is turning pink May 6-May 12 as ADI and the Downtown Appleton businesses support Breast Cancer Patient Support and Research through the American Cancer Society.
What better place than Downtown Appleton to buy that special gift, go out for a great dinner or lunch or maybe make it a full night on the town? Look for businesses with pink ribbons and decorations to let you know that they support this fantastic event. These businesses have agreed to either give a percent of their net proceeds from that week or an outright donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of their Moms and all the Moms in the Fox Cities. Just stop in everywhere you see pink that week and you will know that you are supporting a great cause and a great organization. While you are Downtown, register to win a $100 gift certificate!
You can purchase your Circle of Hope for $1.00 and register for the certificate drawing at any Zumba or Body Blast class at the Appleton Parks, Recreation and Facilities Studios located in the City Center, second floor. See this link for Zumba class schedule.
