Caregiving Issues Related to Workplace Discrimination on April 17:
How does "caregiving" discrimination manifest itself in the workplace? Caregivers, unfortunately, face barriers, stereotyping, and unequal treatment on the job - be it women encountering pregnancy discrimination or "sandwich" generation workers who provide care for children, aging parents and other family members. Maria Flores will share workplace scenarios where negative treatment against caregivers may constitute illegal discrimination based on sex, disability or other protected categories under federal employment discrimination laws.
