Drive-by Shooting Investigated
The Appleton Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting occurring early this morning.
On September 12, 2016, at approximately 12:15 AM, the Appleton Police Department received a report of a drive-by shooting in the 200 block of E. Harris Street. The reporting party told officers they had heard one shot fired from a passing vehicle.
The witness told officers a full-sized vehicle had driven through the area and returned a short time later. They reported see a black male, in his early 20’s with a thin build, standing in the open sunroof of the vehicle. One shot was fired by the subject. The vehicle sped away from the area. Investigators recovered a shell casing from the roadway.
No injuries occurred as a result of the incident. Investigators are attempting to locate any damage caused by the gunshot.
