Reid Golf Course clubhouse opens with new staff
The Reid Golf Course clubhouse opened for the season today with a new superintendent out on the course and a new manager in the clubhouse.
Jeff Plasschaert will oversee the greens, fairways and bunkers as the new course superintendent and Kelvin Johnson is the new clubhouse manager.
Plasschaert comes to Appleton from Bryn Mawr Country Club in Lincolnwood, Illinois, a northern Chicago suburb, where he worked for the last nine years overseeing several major course renovation projects.
Johnson joins the Appleton Parks and Recreation Department staff from Applied Golf, a Hospitality/Golf Management Company based in New Jersey, where he implemented and coordinated successful marketing practices and played a management role in golf operations at multiple facilities on the east coast.
A meet and greet for the new staff will be held at Reid Golf Course on March 19, from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
The course clubhouse will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. each day until the course opens.
